Kazakhstan harvests 3.576mn tones of grain as of Sep 1.

Kazakhstan harvested 3.576mn tones of grain as of Sep 1 on 2.544mn ha, or 15.7% of the total area, the Agriculture Ministry has said. The average yield was 1.41 tones from 1 ha, according to the ministry. On the same date of previous year, the country harvested 5.538mn tones of grain on 6.817mn ha. The average yield stood at 0.81 tones from 1 ha. The ministry expects to harvest 18.9mn tones of grain this year.
