Kazakhstan foreign trade surplus widens to USD 26.8bn in H1.

Kazakhstans foreign trade surplus widened to USD 26.8bn in H1, from USD 26bn reported in the same period of previous year, the State Stat Agency has informed. Exports increased by 10.8% y/y to USD 46.755bn while imports surged by 22.3% y/y to USD 19.9bn in the reported period. The main recipients of Kazakh exports were: Italy (17.1%), China (16.4%), Netherlands (9.6%), France (7.2%) and Russia (6.9%). Kazakhstan imported mainly from Russia (38.6%), China (15.8%), Ukraine (8.2%), the USA (5%) and Germany (4.7%). Kazakhstan exports is driven by supplies of oil and metals.
