Kazakhstan exports 5mn tones of grain as of Mar 1.

Kazakhstan exported 5mn tones of grain from the beginning of the current marketing year on Jul 1 2010 until Mar 1, the Agriculture Ministry has informed. In 2010, the country harvested around 14mn tones of grain, down from 20mn tones gathered in 2009. Export potential for the current marketing year is projected at 7-8mn tones of grain, down from 8.3mn tones delivered abroad last year.
