Kazakhstan comments on Baikonur issue with Russia.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry commented on future cooperation with Russia at the Cosmodrome of Baikonur. The ministry stated that Kazakhstan still hopes to expand its participation in the cosmodromes space activities and qualitative developments of its space capabilities. It also noted that it would be wrong on our part to miss the opportunity to collaborate closely with Russia. The ministry also noted that the leaders of Kazakhstan and Russia are aware of the importance of maintaining Baikonur as a symbol of our successful bilateral cooperation. The statement came after media revealed that Russia sent a diplomatic note demanding explanation of the statement of head of Kazkosmos Talgat Musabayev.
