Kazakhstan and China develop trade at Alatav Pass Port.

Kazakhstan and China opened the trade zone in the Alatav Pass Port on their border in order to further develop trade relationships. This will allow Kazakh citizens to obtain 1-day visa-free entry to the trade zone. A Kazakh citizen with a valid passport may enter the zone, conduct free trade in the markets and return to Kazakhstan the same day. Daily imports below CNY 8,000 is exempted from import duty and VAT.  The zone will be under enclosed management.
