Kazakhstan and Belarus may divert transit between China and Russia , a source from Russian government informed. Kazakhstan and Belarus are more attractive for freight transit operators as they provide more convenient customs procedures. To remind you, at present Kazakhstan , Belarus and Russia are establishing a customs union by July 1, customs checkpoints between Belarus and Russia are to be closed and a year later checkpoints between Kazakhstan and Russia will cease to exist.
