Kazakhstan and Belarus increase trade by 37% y/y in Jan-Aug.

According to the data provided by the Kazakh lower chamber of parliament, in Jan-Aug the trade volume between Kazakhstan and Belarus reached USD 401.2mn, an increase of 37.1% y/y. During a meeting between the Speaker of the Majilis of Kazakhstan Ural Mukhamedzhanov and the PM of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich in Minsk both sides pointed out that Kazakhstan was the third largest trade partner of Belarus (after Russia and Ukraine). In 2010 the trade volume between Kazakhstan and Belarus amounted to USD 657.2mn up by 1.5 times y/y.
