Slovak unemployment inched further down to 3.88% in March

As of August 1, the jobless rate in Ukraine had decreased by 14% from the same date in 2016, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
"Due to improving the effectiveness of the work on operational employment of citizens, the number of unemployed persons as of August 1, 2017 compared to the same period of 2016 decreased by 14% (by 50,000) and amounted to 320,000," the report said.
The number of vacancies declared by employers in the state employment service increased by 54% compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to 65,000, as of August 1.
