Italian company ENI signed a contract to supply natural gas to Prirodni Plin, part of oil and gas company INA, news agency HINA reported. The supplies should start on January 2, 2011 for a period of three years. ENI will deliver 750mn cubic meters of natural gas per year. The existing gas supply contract with Russian Gazprom will expire at the end of 2010. According to the unofficial sources, ENI outbid Gazprom and Germany's E.ON in the gas supply tender. Imports account for 35-40% of the annual consumption of natural gas in the country. |
