Islamic Bank provides USD 371mn for construction of Kazakhstan-Iran railway.

Islamic Development Bank provided USD 371mn loan for the construction of Turkmen section of Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran North-South railroad. The Bereket-Etrek line will be 256.5 km long and 8 stations will be built at this section. To remind you Kazakhstan , Turkmenistan and Iran signed a 3-part agreement on construction of the line in October 2007 in Teheran. The railroad will be opened in 2011. It will help Kazakhstan to export its oil to Iran .
