Investments in Kazakhstan's electricity sector to reach USD 7.8bn by 2015.

Investments in Kazakhstan's electricity sector are expected to reach KZT 1.14tn (USD 7.8bn) by 2015, deputy minister of industry and new technologies Dusenbai Turganov has stated. He added that the power capacity of the sector would be 3,700MW in 2015. Turganov also explained that the volume of investments in 2009 amounted to USD 445mn while in 2010 increased to USD 590mn. In 2011, the authorities project investments at the level of USD 890mn.
