IMF raises GDP growth projection for Kazakhstan.

The International Monetary Fund increased Kazakhstans GDP growth forecast to 5.9% y/y this year and 6% in 2013. In October 2011, IMF projected Kazakh GDP to grow by 5.6% y/y this year. Inflation is seen by the IMF at 5.5% y/y this year and at 7% y/y in 2013. Earlier, the fund expected inflation at 7-9% y/y in 2012. The Kazakh authorities expect GDP to grow by 6-7% y/y this year and inflation to stay in range of 6-8% y/y.
