Hyundai Mobis to invest EUR 39mn in new plant in Slovakia.

South Korean car parts maker Hyundai Mobis plans to invest EUR 39mn in a new car brakes plant in Slovakia next year, TASR news agency reported. The plant will create some 450 jobs. Hyundai Kia Automotive Group will create at least 1,000 new jobs in Slovakia in 2012, as another 550 jobs will be opened thanks to a planned increase in the output of the automaker's Slovak unit. Smaller car parts suppliers such as Sungwoo Hitech also plan opening new jobs. Kia Motors Slovakia, which started production of cars and car engines in December 2006, presently employs over 3,000 people and is one of the country's largest producers and exporters. It has produced more than 930,000 vehicles in Slovakia so far.
