Hungarys job seekers up 0.5% y/y in Aug 2011.

The number of registered job-seekers decreased increased 0.5% y/y to 549,000 in August 2011, MTI news agency reported, quoting employment agency data. Seasonally adjusted, the number of unemployed fell by 1,000 from July. The monthly decline reflects a 5.7% m/m rise in job vacancies. The number of long-term unemployed, searching for jobs, fell both on the year and on the month to 144,200. Some 44,000 new jobs were opened in August, by 5.7% more from the previous month and 61.8% from a year ago, as the majority of them were announced at opened state-subsidised companies.
