Hungary's broadband subscriptions up 0.2% m/m in April 2012.

The number of broadband DSL, cable and optical internet subscriptions in Hungary edged up by 0.2% m/m, or by 5,000, to 2.11mn in April 2012, the communications watchdog said. The number of broadband DSL lines was down by 0.4% m/m to 791,776, declining for the fourth consecutive month. By contrast, broadband cable subscriptions increased by 0.4% m/m to 834,548 and the number of optical cable subscriptions continued to grow by 1.5% on the month to 285,391 as of end-April.
