Home purchases in Albania rise 10% y/y in H1 2012.

By bne IntelliNews June 25, 2012
The number of home purchases in Albania increased 10% on the year in the first half of 2012, local TV channel Klan reported, citing data from real estate agency Century 21 Albania. At the same time, the number of commercial property transactions has remained unchanged in annual terms. Prices of apartments have remained relatively stable over the period, while the demand continues to experience changes related to the customers expectations. Real estate transactions have increased by 50% y/y in full 2011, which was largely due to a government decision to simplify the procedures for property titles distribution.
