Head of National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to retire in 2015.

Grigory Marchenko, head of National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to retire in 2015, he has announced during online conference at profinance.kz Internet portal. He explained that he has enough savings to live on. Marchenko added that he has some obligations to the President and the NBK and thus he is still working. Significantly, Marchenko recently criticized reform of pension funds which is planned by the government. The main aim of the reform is nationalization of the pension funds and establishing one state-owned fund which would be operated by the NBK. During the online conference, Marchenko added that decision on the establishment of the united pension fund was taken by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the NBK as well as the government are simply implementing it.
