Germany to build first solar electric power plant in Kazakhstan.

A German company will build the first solar electric power plant in Kazakhstan, Kazakh deputy minister of industry and new technologies Albert Rau has stated. The capacity of the plant will be 30 MW. The plant will be located in the special economic zone of Alatau, near Almaty. Total cost of the project was not disclosed. Roth & Rau AG is the German partner in the project. To remind you, Kazakhstan and Germany signed a relevant agreement on cooperation in production of solar batteries during German chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to Astana in July.
