Germany's Bauhaus to invest EUR 25mn in its first store in Serbia.

Germany's home improvement retail chain Bauhaus will open its first store in Serbia in the autumn of 2012, following a EUR 25mn investment, Beta news agency reported. Bauhaus will employ more than 230 workers in its sales center in New Belgrade, according to Helmut Diewald, the company's international development director. Diewald said that the Bauhaus store would have an area of 20,000 square meters and will have more than 120,000 products on offer. As reported earlier, Delta Real Estate, part of local Delta Holding, has signed an agreement with Bauhaus on the opening of the first Bauhaus store in Serbia.
