Germany grants EUR 2mn for waste treatment project in Albania.

German development bank KfW has provided EUR 2mn to support the implementation of a waste treatment project in Korce, southeastern Albania, Albpress news agency reported. The project envisages upgrade and maintenance of Korces waste treatment facilities and investments in environmental protection. It also includes the construction of a EUR 9.8mn landfill, which will be completed in 2013.
