German Continental to wrap up EUR 5mn expansion project in Hungary in 2013.

Hungarys ContiTech Fluid Automotive, the local unit of German auto components supplier Continental, plans to wrap up a EUR 5mn expansion project at its plant in Vac, near Budapest, in 2013, BBJ news portal reported, citing local daily Vilaggazdasag. The plant, which produces heating and cooling hoses, is expanding its product palette to include fuel lines. ContiTech mulls also an expansion of its base in Mako, in southeastern Hungary. Continental completed similar projects in Veszprem and Budapest in 2012. The company employs 6,300 people in Hungary.
