German Bosch launches EUR 23.2mn plant construction in Hungary.

German engineering group Bosch started the construction of a new production facility at its base in Miskolc in north-eastern Hungary, the company announced. Completion of the hall was scheduled for May 2011 and should open up 400 new job positions. It should provide and expansion of the capacity of the current base for the production of components for the car industry. Total investment cost of the project was estimated at HUF 6.5bn (EUR 23.2mn). EU funds under the north-Hungary Operative programme would cover 15.1% of the construction cost while the city development company Miskolc Holding should finance the investment with other HUF 140mn or 2.2% of the total cost.
