GazpromNeft acquires small chain of gas stations in Kazakhstan.

GazpromNeft acquired a chain of retail gas stations in Kazakhstan from Arna Petroleum. The assets include 20 service stations and 9 land parcels in Almaty, Taldy-Korgan, Taraz and Shymkent. It is planned to rebrand the stations under GazpromNeft by the end of the year. GazpromNeft has declared that ,,the strategic development of a united chain of GazpromNeft gas stations will help the company enter new fuel markets in Russia and abroad and the acquisition of gas station chain in Kazakhstan is another significant step in this direction. The Russian company plans to open additional 20 service stations in Kazakhstan in 2011. The retail network will be supplied with fuel from Omsk refinery which belongs to the Russian company.
