Gateway Communications launches data platform for African ISPs.

Gateway Communications said it has launched Gateway Data on Demand, making it easier for smaller African ISPs to get connected without the need for a long-term contract. The service will initially be rolled out in South Africa and Ghana, and will then be introduced to other markets including Mozambique and Kenya over the next few months, the company said in a statement. Gateway Communications has more than 60 transponders of satellite capacity over Africa.
