French Alcatel-Lucent to supply broadband connectivity equipment to Albania.

French telecommunication service provider Alcatel-Lucent said it will supply optical equipment for Albanias broadband network, developed by U.S.UNIFI Communications. The agreement signed between the two companies on October 28, envisages Alcatel to deploy equipment for the network, which will link the newly-created Balkans Internet Exchange in Tirana with Italy. The network will be launched in the beginning of 2011.
