Frances VINCI Concessions have shown interest in taking part in the construction of the Vc motorway in Bosnia under the form of concessions, Bosnias Federation government said in a statement. Representatives of the French companies met officials from the Federations government on June 19 in Sarajevo to express their interest and hold talks on the project. The Federations transport minister Enver Bijedic was quoted as saying in the statement that signing concession deals for such key projects in times when it is difficult to finance them via own sources is positive for Bosnia, adding a legal framework that would allow such a partnership should be quickly adopted. According to the report, VINCI has shown a particular interest in the 140-km long Orasje-Brcko-Tuzla-Zepce section. Corridor Vc is one of the three major pan-European corridors in the region. It runs from the Hungarian capital Budapest through Croatia, Bosnia and ends again in Croatia, at its Adriatic town and major seaport of Ploce. The corridor is planned to stretch over 330 kilometres in Bosnia. VINCI Concessions designs, finances, builds and operates transport infrastructure and public facilities. The company says on its website it is the largest operator of transport infrastructure concessions in Europe.
