Foreign Ministry has ruled out Ukraine joining customs union with Russia and Belarus. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry's information policy department, Oleh Voloshyn, it is not the question for Ukraine to either join a free trade zone with the European Union or the Customs Union with Russia and Belarus. He added that for Ukraine membership in the EU is a strategic goal. To note, the European Union and Ukraine are planning to sign a program of institutional development as part of the Eastern Partnership initiative during PM Mykola Azarov's visit to Brussels, which begins on October 13, European Commission spokesman Olivier Bailly said.
