Foreign direct investment in Macedonia up by 52.7% in 2010.

According to data of the central bank, foreign direct investment in Macedonia rose by 52.7% to EUR 221.4mn last year. The equity capital and reinvested earnings component was a net inflow of EUR 186.9mn in 2010, up 4.1 times from 2009. With regard to the data for December alone, foreign direct investment was a net inflow of EUR 32.8mn, which compares with a net outflow of EUR 6.7mn a year earlier. Last December, the equity capital and reinvested earnings component was a net inflow of EUR 46.3mn, reversing a net outflow of EUR 5.4mn in December 2009.
