Foreign direct investment in Macedonia up 3.7 times y/y in October.

The foreign direct investment in Macedonia was a net inflow of EUR 21.5mn in October, which compares with inflows of EUR 14.6mn in September and EUR 5.9mn in October 2009, according to data of the central bank. In October, the equity capital and reinvested earnings component showed a net inflow of EUR 5mn, down from EUR 18.5mn in the previous month, but reversing a net outflow of EUR 8.6mn a year earlier. In Jan-Oct, foreign direct investment in Macedonia has dropped by 8.3% y/y to EUR 132.5mn.
