Foreign direct investment in Macedonia negative in May 2011.

The foreign direct investment in Macedonia was a net outflow of EUR 15.8mn in May, which compares with an outflow of EUR 20.5mn in April and an inflow of EUR 31.4mn in May 2010, according to central bank data. In May, the equity capital and reinvested earnings component was an inflow of EUR 10.6mn, down 14% y/y. In Jan-May, foreign direct investment in Macedonia has increased by 55.6% y/y to EUR 170.7mn.
