FinMin: Hollande's election as president of France may be good news for Poland.

By bne IntelliNews May 8, 2012
The victory of socialist candidate Francois Hollande in the run-off round of presidential elections in France may be good news for Poland, according to a statement by FinMin Jacek Rostowski. If this verdict leads to economic growth gaining appropriate attention in the economic policies of EU and euro-zone, Poland may find it easier - and cheaper - to carry out its consolidation of public finances, the minister argues. Rostowski counts that in working on new EU budget for 2013-2020, the new French government will take into account the fact that EU investments in the Union's new member-states provide the strongest growth impulse in the entire Europe.
