Fiat investment to boost Serbia's exports by EUR 2.5bn by 2013 - ministry.

Fiat's investment in Serbia will boost the country's exports by EUR 2.5bn in three years, economy minister Mladjan Dinkic said, addressing an investment fair Investekspo, Privredni Pregled reported. Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS), a joint venture of the government and Italy's Fiat, will bring EUR 1.3bn in revenues in 2013, while another EUR 1bn will be earned through sale of car components, Dinkic added. Fiat will have a positive effect through the export of both vehicles as higher value added products, and of car components since 80% of them will be produced locally.
