Euromoney gives 2012 Best Bank in Macedonia award to NLB Tutunska Banka.

Financial magazine Euromoney has given the award Best Bank in Macedonia for 2012 to local large-sized commercial bank NLB Tutunska Banka, Utrinski vesnik daily reported. The award is based on the achieved financial results, quality of the banks products and services, innovation, and banking sector leadership in 2011. NLB Tutunska Banka is one of the three Macedonian lenders classified by the countrys central bank as large as of the end of 2011. The other two are Komercijalna Banka and Stopanska Banka Skopje. The after-tax profit of NLB Tutunska Banka expanded by 39% to MKD 659.8mn (EUR 10.7mn) last year, according to financial statements published on the website of Macedonia's securities commission. The lender's total assets decreased by 1.8% to MKD 61.56bn at end-2011, while the equity increased by 9.4% to MKD 5.02bn. NLB Tutunska Banka is a member of Slovenia's NLB Group.
