The European Union intends to allocate EUR 470.05mn as financial assistance to Ukraine until 2013, the European Commission has said. The funds will be used for financing programs related to strengthening law, facilitating introduction of the planned association agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. Ukraine's European integration policy faces three tasks: visa cancellation, creating a free trade zone and receiving associate membership in the EU. Ukraine hopes to conclude talks on the Association Agreement, part of which is the free trade zone provision, in the first half of 2011, First Deputy Prime Minister/Economic Development and Trade Minister Andrii Kliuev has announced.
