EU Commission to present opinion on Albania’s candidate status in November.

The European Commission will present its final opinion on Albanias application for a EU candidate country status in November, EU enlargement commissioner Stefan Fule announced on Tuesday. He noted that the Commission plans to submit to the EU Council its opinion for Albania and Montenegro at the same time. We remind that last week the government submitted its responses to the 170 new questions within the application evaluation framework. The questions referred to the new developments since the time of submission of the EU questionnaire (April 14), as well as to issues related to security and the fight against corruption.
