EU approves Ukraine joining energy community treaty.

The Council of Ministers of the European Union has endorsed Ukraine 's joining the Energy Community Treaty, Fent Di, the press secretary for the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry, has announced. He said Ukraine 's joining the Energy Community will take place after the Ukrainian parliament ratifies the agreement. According to the Fuel and Energy Ministry, joining the treaty will allow the provision of transparent and forecast mechanisms of formation of tariffs for energy carriers will assist in the attraction of investments into the sector and also give opportunity to use export potential of the country more effectively. Besides, the membership of the Energy Community will allow Ukraine to take part in the electricity market of the EU, and use advantages of the European energy market as a comprehensive participant.
