The market capitalisation of equities traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) rose by 10.57% m/m to MKD 135.53bn (EUR 2.20bn) at end-January, after increasing by 3.56% m/m in December, according to data published by MSE. The market capitalisation of debt instruments rose by 0.9% m/m to MKD 12.62bn at end-January. The equity indices MBI10 and MBID both surged in January, by 15.52% and 20.37% respectively. The MSE's turnover dropped by 24.42% m/m to MKD 444.8mn last month, while the number of transactions increased by 27.05% m/m to 2,372. In January, foreign investors participated in 11.85% of the total turnover as buyers and in 15.49% of the total turnover as sellers. |
