The market capitalisation of equities traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) dropped by 8.17% m/m to MKD 124.1bn (EUR 2.02bn) at end-April, reversing a 1.91% m/m increase at end-March, according to data published by MSE. The market capitalisation of debt instruments decreased by 8.76% m/m to MKD 11.57bn at the end of last month. The equity indices MBI10 and MBID both dropped in April, by 1.26% and 2.83% respectively. The MSE's turnover surged 4.4 times m/m to MKD 2.07bn in April. The turnover of block transactions jumped 16.2 times m/m to MKD 1.6bn last month. The turnover of the classical trading increased by 55.69% m/m to MKD 471.2mn in April. Overall, the number of transactions dropped by 2.62% m/m to 2,271 last month. In April, foreign investors participated in 35% of the total turnover as buyers and in 36.22% of the total turnover as sellers. |
