Enlargement commissioner Fuele welcomes results of Croatias EU referendum.

European Union Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele has welcomed the results of Croatia's referendum on EU accession, news agency HINA reported. Fuele said that the EU will be stronger with Croatia as its 28th member. He added that the successful referendum paved the way for the ratification of the accession treaty in the country and in the EU member states. Croats have supported their country's EU entry at a referendum held on Sunday, final results of the voting showed. Thus, Croatia is to become an EU member in July 2013. Some 66.3% of the votes were in favour of EU membership, while 33.1% were against. The referendum turnout was 43.51%.
