EE: ICT sector accounts for 5.3% of Estonian companies revenues in Q1.

The information and communications technology (ICT) sector accounted for 5.3% of total revenues of Estonian companies in Q1/2010, Statistics Estonia has announced. There were total of 2,022 companies operating in the sector. Revenues of these companies stood at EEK 6.3bn (EUR 403mn) in Q1/10. Net profit of the ICT sector was EEK 670mn in Q1/10. The companies created EEK 1.8bn of value added in Q1/2010. Labour productivity stood at EEK 112,000 per person per Q1/2010. The ICT sector employed 15,703 people, which accounts for 4.3% of all the employed people.
