EE: Fingrid to invest EUR 320mn in electricity link to Estonia.

Finnish grid operator Fingrid announced that it would invest EUR 320mn in construction of second submarine energy link between Finland and Estonia. The new cable with capacity of 650 MW and funding of EUR 100mn from the EU is planned to be start operating in 2014. The cable is to be built in cooperation with Estonian grid company Elering. Current energy link between Estonia and Finland is a 350 MW capacity link.
