EE: Estonian railway passengers numbers down by 5.2% y/y in May.

Total number of railway passengers in May amounted to 404,000, which indicates 5.2% y/y decline, Statistics Estonia indicated. In m/m terms the figure increased by 5.5% m/m. In Jan-May total passengers traffic amounted to 1.9mn passengers, down by 0.8% y/y. There are two passengers trains operators in Estonian state owned Elektriraudtee and privately held Edelaraudtee. As of 2015 the government ruled that there will be only one passengers trains operator Elektriraudtee.
