EE: Estonian banks will do good on stress tests-FinMin.

By bne IntelliNews July 15, 2011
FinMin Jurgen Ligi and PM Andrus Ansip argued that Estonian banks are going to do well on the stress tests of 91 large European banks to be published this week. This came as a comment on reports in the local press, misquoting both FinMin and PM in that the state is ready to support the banks that will fail the stress tests. As stressed by FinMin Ligi, the government is convinced that Estonian banks are going to perform well on the tests, and explained that even if some banks will perform poorly this would not translate into immediate need for support, but would warn of a hypothetical risk scenario.
