At the governments press-conference PM Andrus Ansip argued that his government is not in favour of recently discussed idea of issuing joint eurozone bonds for combating the debt crisis. Ansip noted that the government sees great moral risks in such an issue, stressing that the countries that kept their fiscal performance in order would need to sacrifice that to those who now are forced to get funding at a high price. Estonian PM instead proposes structural reforms, spending cuts and increasing tax revenues as the solution. |
