EBRD to endorse USD 1bn for projects in Kazakhstan.

The EBRD plans to provide USD 1bn to finance projects aimed at diversifying Kazakh economy. The funds will be invested in projects to be indentified in collaboration with the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade and the national welfare fund SamrukKazyna, the bank said. The EBRD also stated that it will consider providing equity and debt financing for eligible projects and will seek to mobilise necessary technical assistance for their implementation. To remind you, the EBRD approved recently strategy for Kazakhstan which is aimed at diversifying Kazakh economy.
