EBRD allocates USD 156mn loan to modernize electricity facilitity in Kazakhstan.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has allocated a USD 156mn loan to modernize the transmission of electricity in Kazakhstan. The loan will finance the modernization of a high-voltage power transmission line in Ossakarovka in the region of Karaganda built in 1962. The relevant agreement with Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC), a Kazakhstan state-owned power distribution company, was signed during EBRD annual meeting.
