Czech online advertising spending at EUR 15.5mn in May 2011.

Online advertising spending in the Czech Republic reached CZK 376.5mn (EUR 15.5mn) in May 2011, CIA news agency reported citing a Mediaresearch survey for the Onine Advertising Association. Mobile phone operator Telefonica was the leading advertiser with spending of CZK 12.5mn, followed by Tchibo with CZK 11.4mn and Internet Mall with CZK 10.6mn. In April advertisers spent CZK 328.2mn on Internet ads. The Czech advertising market is expected to grow by between 0.5% and 3% in 2011, according to information released earlier by Marketing & Media.
