Czech insurer Pojistovna Ceske Sporitelny boosts premiums by 16% in 2011.

Insurance company Pojistovna Ceske Sporitelny (PCS) reported a 16% y/y growth in billed premiums to CZK 6.1bn (EUR 248.4mn) in 2011, CTK newswire reported citing data from the Czech Insurance Association. PCS, which specialises in life insurance, is part of Vienna Insurance Group, which also owns insurers Kooperativa and Ceska podnikatelska Pojistovna in the country. The Czech insurance market slipped by 0.3% in 2011, when CZK 116.3bn premiums were collected.
