Czech industrial output slightly down in September month on month but strong on yearly comparison

Czech industrial production in September slightly fell in comparison to August by 0.4% in seasonally adjusted terms.

The y/y comparison did much better, with industrial production growing by 4.4% compared to the same period a year ago, although the rate of expansion was slower compared to August by 1.4pp.

The most significant increases were registered for the production of electricity, cars, and chemicals. By the end of 2017 total industrial production growth is expected to reach 5.2%, according to Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).
