Czech e-shops report record-high sales of 1.3bn in 2010.

Czech e-shops reported record-high sales of CZK 33bn (EUR 1.3bn) in 2010, up 22.2% y/y, CTK newswire reported citing data from the Association for Electronic Commerce (APEK). Online sales grew faster than in 2008, when they increased by CZK 5bn to CZK 27bn. Czech Christmas shoppers spent CZK 13bn, or 44.4% more than in 2009, exceeding APEK estimates by 18.2%. APEK executive director Jan Vetyska said online sales will continue to grow in 2011 as well.
